Purchasing a New Pen for Tablet PC   

As you are probably well aware, the tablet PC is all the rage right now, everywhere you go there they are!  They give you a new way to work with your computer that you cannot use notebooks or desktop computers.  The tablet PC allows for you to flip the screen around and write on the screen with a special table PC stylus pen.  This is a great option for those that need to sketch, take notes, enter orders, or enter information into a system.  Many people feel as though the tablet PC really makes the computer more portable now than in the past.

Unfortunately an issue with the tablet PC is that the pens are easily misplaced.  Just like you lose a pen or pencil 50 times a day in your office, you just misplace them.  The problem with the pen for tablet PC is that it is not just your average pen.  These pens are just like the stylus pens that are used on palm pilots and other devices that use this same technology.  If you used anything other than this specially formed pen you can scratch and permanently damage your tablet screen.

While the pen for tablet PC can be difficult to keep track of, you can order extras or replacements.  Most of the tablet PC’s have a specific stylus that is meant for that specific model.  You can contact the manufacturer of your tablet computer directly and order new a new stylus that can be shipped to you.  If you are going to do this, you should order two or three so you always have a backup stylus if you should misplace another.

Don’t have time to wait for the manufacturer to send a new stylus?  This may not be a problem.  Most office supply stores and computer stores will sell them.  They may not have exactly the same thing, but there are several of these products that are meant to work with a wide range of tablets so you can have something on hand.  The only issue with these is that they may not stay in the slot that is meant for the stylus of your computer, so you may just need to keep the stylus in your briefcase when it is not in use.

In addition, you may also be able to find a pen for tablet PC online for a great price.  You can shop eBay and auction sites as well as other sites that might be willing to offer you a better price than the manufacturer of the tablet PC. You may even be able to find the exact stylus that you need for your computer, so it will slide right into place!
